Just what is a "P
O R T A V I S E"®? |
| The patented PORTAVISE® is a vise designed to work
with small and delicate objects utilizing light pressure to hold an
item tightly, while avoiding surface or pressure damage. The jaw panels
have patented provisions to hold odd or conventional shaped objects.
The special blend of polymers in the jaw panels actually “forms
around and grips to the shape” of most objects. The panels are
easily replaceable after substantial use. The portable vise can be
held and used in a horizontal or vertical position in the base holder.
The vise may be used out of the holder as a sturdy clamp that does
not swivel or damage working surfaces. It can also be used for technical
inspection in laboratories. The bottom of the base has a patterned
soft material that securely “grips to the surface”of any
clean flat table surface with very light downward working load which
is created when sawing, grinding, drilling , polishing etc. |
